The Andis Chickadee Trail is an interactive trail designed to engage children and folks of all ages in an unstructured exploration of nature. The project includes a story trail, a natural playscape, and an interpretive tree trail. The trail is free and open to the public every day from dawn until dusk.

On the story trail, children encounter the pages of a book as they explore the forest. The story trail encourages children to be outside exploring, moving, and building literacy in a fun and interactive, self-paced way. A new book is posted every month except January and February.

The natural playscape features elements that invite children and families to step, hop and balance their way into the woods. New elements are being planned so come back often.

The interpretive tree trail identifies specimens of native trees; the first specimens were provided as an Eagle Scout project, and new specimens will be added in the future.
